She was also cast on Guiding Light, a CBS soap-opera that aired on CBS between 1999 and 2000 as Theresa Sandoval. Her first film appearance was as a character in Girl 6 in 1996. The actress then appeared in New York Undercover, and The District. Navedo played a role as a co-star on Double Take (2001), an action film, as well as on Washington Heights (2002). Between 2001 and 2004 Navedo was a frequent character in the NBC Crime series Law & Order as Detective Ana Cordova. Later, he starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent Damages along with Blue Bloods.
